Golden Rules of Texas Hold'em

Texas Hold'em game is not like any other card game. It is ranked as the top on list in all poker games. This game have swept away almost all competition amongst card players in the entire globe. Texas Hold'em is a game played in both land based and online casinos, televisons, in the kitchen or garage, or eveywhere you can find a table big enough to cater few players along with a deck of crads and poker chips. Almost all ages can learn how to play the game: the young ones, the old ones, women, men. Non-professional and professionals and among others. Playing this game is a means of having fun while making money at the same time.

The game is played with two to ten players, and in some cases, it can be played with 22 players. Like any other poker variations, the objective of this game is to win the jackpot prize. The winner is the one who beats other players with the best of the five-card poker or the one who causes the opponents to abandon and fold the jackpot by using bluffing techniques and aggressive betting.

At the start of the hand, 2 players in the left side of the dealer must play the blinds which is a forced bet in the games that has flops. In a Texas Hold'em game, there is the presence of the small and big blind that has a pre-determined amount. These blinds are increasing as the game carry on over a period of time or a preset time period.

The dealer button which a designated chip, will then be placed in the front area of the dealer so as to keep track of all the blinds and the schedule of dealing. This button will rotate clockwise around the poker table, which moves after each hand.

The small blind is usually posted by the person who seats directly to the left side of the dealer. This is usually half the big blind. After which, the big blind will then be posted by the person seated to the left side of the small blind which is basically the equivalent of the minimum bet in the early part and later increases with the minimum in the whole duration of the game.

The game will start as soon as the players deals two cards that are faced down. These cards are called the pocket cards and they are only revealed by some players. The hand starts with the blinds and the pre-flop betting. This will begin from the player seated left to the big blind and continues moving clockwise.
